Elliot Lake’s future is tourism development

Steve Antunes, the economic development manager of Elliot Lake, initiated projects his department is carrying out to attract greater number of people to describe the city as their home and with that, the by-products that a huge number of inhabitants could have for the service and business sector.

At present, the work is taking place in his department and is targeted on making Elliot Lake as a great tourism hotspot; Antunes informed the small group of people taking part in the financial growth and expansion of the first quarterly town hall meeting of the department to keep residents alert of the ongoing work that is being done to develop the city.

Antunes explained the economic development department’s role in creating a constructive environment that assists businesses to do well, produce, bloom, and make a better community.

Antunes said that they’re here to make their community superior.

While aiming on the tourism destination theme, Antunes said that they’ve got the chance; they’ve got the benefits to make Elliot Lake a top tier tourist hotspot.

As part of tourism promotion, Antunes said that the city has been set up with plans to make the streets better, and plan empty property for industry and residential development. Promoting other assets of the city is equally important like the gorgeous natural environment which provides hiking trails and other adventure sporting opportunities like skiing and skating.
