Emirates and VFS Global launch pre-approved visa on arrival for Indian travelers

Emirates has formed an exclusive partnership with VFS Global to introduce a pre-approved visa on arrival service for Indian passport holders who have booked their travel with the airline. Administered by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC) and issued as a 14-day single-entry visa, this innovative initiative allows Emirates customers to bypass queues upon arrival in Dubai. It streamlines the arrival process, enabling customers to swiftly navigate through customs before exploring the city.

To avail this service, Emirates customers can book their flights on emirates.com or through their preferred travel agent. Upon retrieving their booking through the ‘Manage an existing booking’ section on emirates.com, customers can click on the ‘apply for a UAE visa’ link. This will redirect them to the online UAE Visa application site, powered by VFS Global Services, providing details on requirements, terms, and conditions to facilitate a seamless visa application process.

This service is exclusively accessible to Indian passport holders with a valid six-month visa for the US, US Green Card, EU Residency, or UK Residency. It’s important to note that the issuance of visas is subject to the discretion of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs.

Dubai remains a top destination for Indian travelers, offering a diverse range of attractions and accommodation options suitable for every taste, age, and budget. According to Dubai Tourism statistics, between January and October 2023, Dubai welcomed 2 million overnight visitors from India.

Emirates presently operates flights to nine destinations in India, with 167 weekly flights connecting travelers to Dubai and onward to a global network spanning over 140 destinations. The airline’s coverage in India encompasses Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram.
