Emirates Aviation University (EAU) bids farewell to its accomplished graduates at the onset of the new year, marking their entry into promising career paths. The 33rd EAU graduation ceremony celebrated the success of 302 highly skilled individuals, acknowledging their achievements and signaling their venture into the aviation world.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Chancellor of EAU, personally presented the graduates with their well-deserved certificates. The ceremony, hosted at the EAU campus, brought together dignitaries, Emirates Group executives, graduates, their guests, and the esteemed faculty.

The event highlighted the diverse nature of the student body, representing over 50 nationalities across various disciplines such as aviation management, aeronautical engineering, aviation safety/security, logistics and supply chain management, mechanical engineering, aircraft maintenance engineering, and software engineering.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum emphasized the importance of adapting to the evolving landscape of both aviation and the workforce. He expressed the commitment to shaping the future of the industry by instilling knowledge and competencies in the graduates, fostering excellence, technical skills, and leadership qualities.

Professor Ahmad Al Ali, Vice-Chancellor of Emirates Aviation University, echoed the sentiment of a new era in aviation and the necessity to inspire and engage students for success. He highlighted EAU’s commitment to delivering world-class and futuristic programs, empowering students with confidence for their careers, and integrating technology and knowledge for a profound understanding of aviation.

With the aviation industry expected to generate over US$25.7 billion in net profit in 2024, the graduates are poised for a bright future. The Airport Council International anticipates a significant milestone in global passenger traffic recovery in 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.

This year, EAU recognized 26 outstanding students across all disciplines, reflecting the institution’s dedication to producing future aviation leaders. The cohort comprises 77 postgraduates and 225 bachelor students, including 72 Emirates-sponsored students, both fresh graduates and employees pursuing further qualifications.

Emphasizing the synergy between industry and academia, over 100 students benefited from a unique internship opportunity with the Emirates Group, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge and skills to practical corporate work, enhancing their education and career prospects.
