Emirates, the UAE’s flagship carrier, has announced that its First Class Lounge at Concourse B of Dubai International Airport (DXB) is currently undergoing refurbishment.

As a result, passengers might notice a temporary absence of some favorite meals and snacks, alongside potential noise disturbances during their lounge stay.

This development is part of the airline’s efforts to enhance the overall experience for its first-class passengers, who are accustomed to the highest standards of luxury and comfort.

Despite the ongoing renovations, the lounge remains open to travelers. However, Emirates has advised passengers seeking the full lounge experience to consider utilizing the facilities on Concourse A or C instead. These alternatives promise to maintain the expected level of service and amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi, spa treatments, direct boarding, business center access, and a dedicated quiet area for relaxation.

Access to the First Class Lounge is complimentary for passengers flying in First Class and Emirates Skywards Platinum members. For those not automatically eligible, there is an option to purchase access to this lounge, as well as to selected Emirates lounges globally, ensuring that more travelers can enjoy the comfort and exclusivity these spaces offer.

An innovative feature of the airline’s lounges, including Concourse B, is the introduction of contactless facial recognition technology, allowing for a seamless entry process. Passengers can register for this biometric path at check-in, enhancing the convenience and efficiency of their airport experience.

Emirates operates an extensive flight network, with 490 flights daily and an impressive catering operation that serves approximately 215,000 meals every day across its global routes. This culinary feat is achieved with the help of 1,400 chefs working both at the vast Emirates Flight Catering Facility in Dubai and through partner caterers worldwide, underscoring the airline’s commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience, both in the air and on the ground.
