Emirates Ramadan and Eid Celebration

Eid al Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan, is set to commence on April 10, and Emirates is set to celebrate the occasion with an array of regional delicacies onboard, traditional Eid meals in the lounges, and new Arabic entertainment options on ice.

Onboard Emirates, passengers can relish in Eid flavors from April 10-13. Economy Class flyers departing from Dubai will be treated to delectable dishes such as chicken biryani adorned with crispy fried onions, raisins, and cashews, or tender lamb kibbeh labanieh served with vermicelli rice and a creamy laban sauce. Indulgent Eid-themed desserts will include halwa brownie with cardamom sauce and chocolate mousse topped with batheeth crumble.

Premium Economy and Business Class travelers can savor traditional delights like chicken mashwi el jeder with a flavorful spiced sauce, chickpea hashwa, and ghee rice with potatoes, or opt for fish matfy in a spiced tomato sauce alongside buttery rice. Desserts for these classes will feature fragrant pistachio and hibiscus namoura with raspberry curd, and a luxurious vanilla and rose mousse cake.

First Class patrons can expect meticulously crafted dishes such as hammour matfy in Emirati-style spiced tomato sauce with basmati rice, or braised beef short ribs machbouse paired with fragrant rice and local spices, and succulent lamb kebabs marinated in spicy tomato butter. For desserts, there’s vanilla and rose mousse cake with pistachio anglaise and fresh berries, or a warm orange blondie served with white chocolate and vanilla cream tart, drizzled with caramel sauce. Additionally, all passengers will receive a ‘Eid Mubarak’ pumpkin Asseda treat along with an almond apricot tart for Premium Economy, Business, and First Class flyers.

In the A380 onboard lounge, passengers can relish Emirati pastries, Arabic coffee, or opt for a decadent slice of pistachio cake with cream cheese, or aromatic saffron and cardamom cake.

Emirates Lounges in Dubai will serve Eid favorites on April 10. First Class guests can enjoy Arabic coffee, jallab, and kamarruddin juice, along with hot and cold Arabic mezzeh, lamb ouzi, or Arabic mixed grill, followed by kunafa, kathayef, and bassbousa desserts. Business Class lounges will feature classic chicken khabsa and a range of desserts including date mammoul, baklava pecan rolls, and saffron bassbousa. Emirates invites its First and Business Class guests to indulge in homemade Baklava and Arabic coffee ice cream from the old-fashioned ice cream cart in the lounge, specially prepared for Eid celebrations.

For entertainment during Eid travels, Emirates offers a diverse selection on ice, with up to 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment and over 2,000 movies worldwide. This includes more than 100 Arabic films such as Amakor, El Saf El Akheer, and Al Masafa Sefr, as well as 285 Hollywood movies with Arabic subtitles including Napoleon, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Wish, Ferrari, and Killers of the Flower Moon. Arabic TV series fans can enjoy 46 channels featuring Chef Bel Beit, Lo’bat Al Hayah, and Shahid series like Batn El Hout, Seeb Wa Ana Aseeb, and El Ghareeb. Emirates passengers can also delve into 15 channels of Arabic podcasts and audiobooks, explore The Holy Qur’an, and access over 500 channels of Arabic music spanning pop, classics, Khaleeji, Maghrebi, and Arabic fusion genres.
