Emirates announced plans to make its most advanced Premium Economy cabins available on its newly refitted A380s beginning in December in five new cities: New York JFK, San Francisco, Melbourne, Auckland, and Singapore.

In addition, the airline will increase the number of Premium Economy seats on flights to Sydney and London Heathrow as soon as its newly improved aircraft with updated cabins enter regular service.

According to its most recent deployment plans, 85 A380s will be back in the air by December, just in time to meet the demand for year-end travel.

On Emirates’ upgraded A380, which is currently operating flights between Dubai, Paris Charles de Gaulle, London Heathrow, Sydney, New York (beginning on December 1, 2022), Auckland, Melbourne, San Francisco, Singapore, and Christchurch, the new Premium Economy cabin is available (from March 2023).

With the addition of new cities including Hong Kong, Houston, Bengaluru, Perth, Auckland, and Kuala Lumpur, the airline will be operating its flagship on 85 A380s to over a third of its network by year’s end.

Additional locations will be announced in the coming weeks.

Emirates will have restored 75% of its pre-pandemic A380 network with an extended list of cities.

The airline is also increasing the number of times it visits well-known cities currently covered by its flagship, giving its business more resilience and stability.

The Premium Economy cabin on an Emirates A380 with four classes is located at the front of the main deck and includes 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration.

With ample seat width and pitch for working and relaxing, as well as specially created comforts like in-seat charging ports and a side cocktail table, every square inch of the interior anticipates passengers’ needs.

The experience is completed by sumptuous meals, a large variety of beverage options, and carefully selected in-flight amenities.

Nearly 4,000 new Premium Economy seats will be built by 2025, 728 First Class suites will be renovated, and more than 5,000 Business Class seats will receive an aesthetic makeover.
