EMITT 2024, set to open its doors on February 6th at the TÜYAP Fair Convention and Congress Center, gears up to offer a comprehensive view of the travel and tourism industry’s future.

The inaugural day will feature two pivotal keynote presentations: “The Travel Pulse: 2024 Tourism Report, Economic Dynamics and Forecasts” by World Travel and Tourism Council executives, and “Charting New Routes: Traveller Behaviour & Trends Shaping Travel in 2024” by Juan A. Gómez García of ForwardKeys.

These sessions aim to explore the economic implications of tourism, advocate for sustainable and secure travel environments, and delve into the latest consumer trends and motivations.

Presidents’ Session: A Visionary Dialogue

A highlight of the event, the Presidents’ Session moderated by Tourism Consultant Osman Ayık, will convene industry leaders such as Erkan Yağcı of TÜROFED, Firuz B. Bağlıkaya of TÜRSAB, Müberra Eresin of TÜROB, and Oya Narin of TTYD.

They will discuss “The 2023 Tourism Report in Türkiye,” alongside forecasts and expectations for 2024, providing insights into the tourism economy’s trajectory.

Diverse Topics on the Agenda

EMITT 2024 is dedicated to addressing a broad spectrum of subjects across its four-day schedule. Conference Stage Sessions will focus on “Travel Trends,” “Health Tourism,” “Responsible Tourism,” and “Travel Technologies,” covering everything from the climate crisis’s impact on tourism to the latest in digital transformation, AI, and eco-tourism experiences.

Additionally, the exhibition will promote sustainable practices within the hotel industry and feature cultural events, including a Sema Ceremony by Konya Municipality and traditional showcases by exhibitor countries and municipalities.

A Platform for Innovation and Growth

Under the direction of Exhibition Director Hacer Aydın, EMITT 2024 is positioned as a catalyst for Turkey’s economic and tourism sector growth.

Emphasizing the exhibition’s role in diversifying tourism, promoting alternative tourism products, and targeting emerging markets globally, Aydın’s vision for 2024 includes extending the tourism season year-round to enhance the sector’s profitability and competitiveness.

By fostering discussions on the latest trends, policies, and technologies, EMITT 2024 aims to uncover Turkey’s tourism potential, paving new paths to future destinations and reinforcing the country’s position on the global tourism map.
