Miami-Dade County officials and Delta Air Lines executives revealed the newly expanded Delta Sky Club at Miami International Airport on April 9. The expansion, covering 4,000 square feet, boosted the Club’s capacity by more than 50%, accommodating an additional 100 guests and featuring a revamped open dining space. Situated beyond the security checkpoint in MIA’s Concourse H, the expanded Sky Club can now cater to a total of 300 patrons.
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, “I proudly congratulate Delta Air Lines on their MIA Sky Club expansion, marking 79 years at our airport. As the second busiest airline at MIA, Delta served 3.3 million travelers last year. We cherish their partnership and commitment to a brighter future in Miami-Dade County.”
Delta Sky Club Members are welcome to enter the lounge when traveling on Delta or its partner airlines with a same-day ticket. Alternatively, you can buy a single-visit day pass if you have a same-day boarding pass on Delta Air Lines or its partner airlines. Check out the Delta Sky Club website for further information. The Delta Sky Club at MIA operates daily from 4:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Luciano Macagno, Delta Air Lines, Managing Director of Latin America, the Caribbean and South Florida, “The lounge expansion marks a significant milestone for Delta as we continue to prioritize our customers’ needs and preferences. By introducing new routes and enhancing our facilities, we aim to set new standards for travelers in South Florida, offering them unparalleled comfort, convenience, and connectivity. I’m grateful to MDAD Director & CEO Ralph Cutié and his team for their partnership and commitment to elevating the customer experience at MIA and for helping make the expansion possible.”
MIA’s passenger lounges were ranked as the best among U.S. airports by Upgraded Points last year. The ranking evaluated 50 of the country’s largest airports, considering factors like amenities, dining choices, lounge capacity, customer feedback, and operating times.
Miami International Airport, America’s busiest airport for international freight and the second busiest for international passengers, is receiving an unprecedented investment of $7 billion in capital improvements and $1.7 billion in maintenance upgrades. MIA offers more flights to Latin America and the Caribbean than any other U.S. airport and is also the leading economic engine for Miami-Dade County and the state of Florida, generating business revenue of $31.9 billion and approximately 60 percent of all international visitors to Florida annually.
