As Malaysia’s top bar for four years in a row, it has also earned the prestigious Ketel One Sustainable Award. “For two nights only, from August 16 to 17, 2024, guests will have the unique opportunity to experience the innovative and sustainable mixology of Bar Trigona in a breathtaking ocean view and tropical setting,” beams Jasjit Assi, the Resort’s General Manager.

The collaboration between Bar Trigona’s Head Bartender, Rohan Matmary, and CoCoRum’s Bar Manager, Thom Geerts, promises a unique and spirited journey, highlighting their shared commitment to sustainability. This partnership features four distinct experiences: Safe Haven, Jewel of the Tropics, Island Rituals, and The Vault. CoCoRum’s playful and innovative beverage approach perfectly complements Bar Trigona’s sustainable philosophy, creating an unforgettable fusion of flavors and ethical practices. “What makes a cocktail great, technically speaking, is a precise balance of ingredients and flavours,” believes Rohan, adding that every exceptional cocktail also needs a compelling story. “Not to forget, a passionate bartender,” he smiles.

Private Masterclass at The Vault: An Exclusive Encounter with Sustainable Mixology

In addition to the cocktail showcases, the event will feature a Private Masterclass at The Vault, offering a unique opportunity for guests to dive deep into the world of sustainable mixology. Held on August 16 and 17, 2024, these intimate sessions will accommodate small groups of 3-4 guests, ensuring a personalized and enriching experience. Each session runs from 4:00 to 4:45 pm and from 5:15 to 6:00 pm, priced at THB 2,200++ per person.

During this special event, Rohan will present a selection of his signature creations from both the day and night menus. For the serene daytime atmosphere, highlights include the Blue Pea T&T (Blue Pea tequila, tonic water) and the vibrant Sakura Spritzer with gin and sakura vanilla syrup. For those who prefer earthy flavors, the Petrichor, with vetiver, pandan, gin, and fig tea, is a perfect choice. Rohan also recommends the Airmail, a delightful mix of trigona honey, calamansi juice, prosecco, and dark rum.

An Enchanted Evening of Exotic Flavours and Spirited Tales

The nighttime experience promises an enchanting journey with mezcals and rums taking center stage. The Parakeet, featuring salted cucumber cordial, and the Canchanchara, with white rum, lime juice, and trigona honey, bring zest and vibrancy to the evening. The rose apple and torch ginger rum with strawberry cordial adds a unique twist to the lineup.
