Exquisite debut: Hotel Okura Suzhou opening its doors in 2027

Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. is excited to announce the signing of an agreement to oversee the operation and management of Hotel Okura Suzhou in Suzhou, China, starting in 2027. The agreement, formalized on December 20, is with Suzhou Ronghe Real Estate Co., Ltd., a joint venture owned by Suzhou Harmony Development Group Co., Ltd., Marimo Holdings, Inc., and Sumitomo Corporation.

Situated in southeastern Jiangsu Province, Suzhou has emerged as an economic hub, strategically located near Shanghai. Renowned for its charming “old-town” center, Suzhou, often referred to as the “Venice of the East,” is a tourist hotspot with historic landmarks and a network of picturesque canals, surrounded by traditional Chinese landscapes. In recent times, it has also gained recognition as one of China’s prominent industrial cities.

Hotel Okura Suzhou will be positioned in Suzhou Industrial Park, established in 1994 as one of the region’s key specially designated industrial zones and designated as one of China’s top national-level economic zones. As a smart zone, it places a strong emphasis on sustainability and serves as a production and export hub for global companies.

Being the first Hotel Okura-branded establishment in Jiangsu Province, Hotel Okura Suzhou is committed to delivering outstanding guest services rooted in Japan’s rich culture of hospitality. The hotel, located on the upper floors of a complex featuring offices, residences, and commercial spaces, will boast 249 rooms, including 25 suites and 42m2 standard rooms.

Diverse culinary experiences await guests, with four food and beverage venues offering a range of cuisines, including Japanese and Chinese. The hotel will feature an executive lounge, fitness center, indoor swimming pool, and more.

A main banquet hall and six meeting rooms will cater to various events and VIP occasions, ensuring high-quality spaces supported by a range of services. The hotel’s direct connection to Suzhou Rail Transit’s Xingtang Street subway station (lines 1 and 5) will provide convenient access.

Guests seeking extended stays will find dedicated long-term stay options within the same building. Hotel Okura Suzhou joins other Okura Nikko Hotels in Jiangsu Province, including Hotel Nikko Wuxi (opened in 2010), Hotel Nikko Suzhou (2015), Hotel Nikko Taizhou (2016), and Hotel Nikko Changshu (2023).
