Eye-catching boat race poster of Wimbledon boost up Kerala tourism

Following Chelsea FC, the English football club made a virtual tour of Kerala’s tranquil backwaters in Alappuzha, the social media handles of Wimbledon, world’s well-known tennis tournament recently shared a poster where the famous boat race of Kerala was featured. This happened just after the tennis championship was organized in London and it overlapped with the starting of Kerala’s boat race season on July 3 rd .

In that poster, several top-ranking tennis players were featured, like Aryna Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur, Iga Swiatek, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. In the Kerala backwaters, they are seen rowing the snake boats.

On the micro-blogging site – Twitter, after the tweet gained major attention, Kerala tourism’s Twitter handle reposted it and noted down, that Wimbledon shatters it as the season of boat race kick-starts in Kerala. Next to that they added hashtags #, #Wimbledon, and #SnakeBoatRace.

As it was shared on July 3 rd , the tweet of Wimbledon has received over 94,300 views, and those numbers are constantly increasing. Also, the share has encouraged many to put forward their thoughts in the comments section.
