Fiji Airways wants to assure its esteemed guests that its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet remains unaffected amidst the temporary grounding of a different aircraft model, the Boeing 737 MAX 9, which is not operated by Fiji Airways.

The recent issuance of an Emergency Airworthiness Directive (EAD) by the United States’ Federal Aviation Authority is specifically targeted at the MAX 9 aircraft. This directive addresses concerns related to a blowout incident that occurred with the mid-cabin exit door plug, a component absent in the MAX 8 aircraft.

Fiji Airways emphasizes its unwavering dedication to prioritizing the safety of both guests and crew members. They maintain an unyielding commitment to ensuring safety at every stage of travel with Fiji Airways.
