Finland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has increased the financial requirement for Schengen Visa applicants to €50 per day of stay. It started in January 2024.
This will allow visa applicants to finance their visit using the funds of the inviting party.
Additionally, Finland has also introduced a proof of sponsorship and/or accommodation form.
Travellers arriving in for short stays will now have available funds of at least EUR 50, instead of the former EUR 30, for each day they spend in Finland.
This financial requirement applies to visits of no more than 90 days.
This financial modification is for aligning the financial requirement with the increased cost of living.
This is ensuring that visitors have adequate means to cover their expenses during their stay of up to 90 days.
