The fog in Delhi disrupted the flight operations. The passengers were put in a dire state due to this.

Over 100 aircraft were delayed in Delhi as a result of the area’s persistent fog, which also hindered rail and road traffic. Slightly above the typical monthly average, the temperature dropped to 8.4 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department, or IMD, informed the passengers to prepare for inclement weather, and an orange advisory was issued in response. With significantly limited visibility in many areas of the city, the advice highlighted the need for preventative actions. Residents are advised to remain watchful and take the appropriate safety measures during this unfavourable weather period as long as the fog continues.

With delays recorded in both air and rail travel, the effects of the cold wave were most noticeable during the morning commute. Travel arrangements for passengers were impacted by the delay or cancellation of multiple flights due to low visibility. People who depend on rail transportation experienced disruptions to their train schedules, which was inconvenient.

The postponed or delayed schedules of flights threw passengers into an anxious, stricken state.

The temperature on Wednesday was likely to be around 24 degrees Celsius, and it went down to 7 degrees Celsius. However, the skies are dense and cloudy. Furthermore, the minimum temperature in Delhi went on to be recorded at 10 degrees Celsius. Currently, the mist is clogging the air. In the resultant situations, the flights are being delayed, with no other option in hand.

Citizens of Delhi woke up to a hazed-up morning. There has been no visibility along with disruptions in traffic. With the fog enveloping the northern part of Delhi, accident tolls are also on the rise. The fog condition is likely to continue.

Other than that, 22 trains were also running late due to low visibility and fog in the national capital.

The delay of flights and trains will continue to happen as the weather department in Delhi has already informed the media that the fog is likely to continue in the coming days.
