Fokker Services Asia Partners with Embraer, Set to Become Authorized E-Jets Service Center

Fokker Services Asia, a branch of the Fokker Services Group, and Embraer disclosed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement earmarks the Seletar, Singapore facility of Fokker Services Group Asia to become an Authorized Service Center for Embraer’s inaugural E-Jets series, enhancing Embraer’s expanding footprint in the Asia Pacific area.

This MoU lays the groundwork for Fokker Services Asia’s accreditation as an Embraer Authorized Service Center. The aim is for both entities to finalize a formal agreement by the first half of 2024, which will officially authorize Fokker Services Asia to perform maintenance on the first generation of E-Jets. This development arrives at an opportune moment for Fokker Services Asia, as achieving certification from Embraer represents an additional achievement in its ongoing preparations to offer comprehensive Embraer MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) services. This follows a previous certification by CASA (Australia) in August 2023 for the E190 aircraft with Australian registration, marking another step in its expansion efforts in Asia.

In parallel, Thomas Kennedy, Managing Director of Fokker Services Asia, expressed his satisfaction with this MOU by stating, “As an authorized service center and having certifications from key aviation regulatory entities in the region, we take pride in formally establishing a full new line of work for comprehensive aircraft maintenance for Embraer aircraft”.
