For Guernsey annual activities and events, £273,000 grant available

At this moment, there are two grants that are opened to applicants, the States said.

These are the annual activities and events grant of £123,000. For 2024, a Tourism Development Fund of £150,000 respectively.

The States said that the tourism fund was an exhilarating opportunity for the ones across the sector.

It said that business cases should explain ideas which can bring in a long-term reoccurrence in terms of tourism.

The Tourism Management Board, for the first time, in February flashed a backlash among few businesses, will supervise the process of decision-making for both the grants.

The Chair of the Tourism Management Board, Hannah Beacom, said that this is a huge chance to see some fresh ideas coming through and they’re looking forward to talking how they can help monetarily and otherwise.

For business cases, the deadline for the Tourism Development Fund is October 15 th , as for the activities and events grant, initial submissions must be made by 5pm on 26 October.
