For summer 2022, Vietnam tourism soars high

More than ten days after the formal reopening of the tourism of Vietnam, localities and businesses are keeping no stones unturned to arrange for the summer travel season of 2022 and perk up the industry completely.

As tourism activities start once again, over the weekend, ‘Hanoi Tourism 2022’ was introduced at Ly Thai To Square. The event with the theme ‘Get on Hanoi 2022’, took place from March 25 to 27 followed by several activities to greet tourists back to the capital.

Hot air balloons festival at Long Bien longan garden was one of the key features of the event. Around 22 colourful hot air balloons, including 18 level-one balloons of 10-metre high and four level-seven of 22-metre high, flew above the skyline of Hanoi, as a total.

In the meantime, on April 16th, in Ba Vi district on the outskirts of Hanoi, a local tourism campaign will be introduced. The theme of the campaign will be ‘Ba Vi Tourism – Green and safe experience’. For the summers 2022, the event will focus on eco-tourism, leisure travel, and spiritual culture.

In the first quarter of 2022, as per Dang Huong Giang, Director of Hanoi’s Department of Tourism, the capital city has drawn over 2.8 million local tourists’ equivalent to a 45 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
