Four Seasons Hampshire’s Christmas charity campaign with carefree

The 2023 Christmas charity initiative by Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire has been unveiled in collaboration with the carer support charity, Carefree. The campaign aims to express gratitude and generosity towards unpaid carers, often overlooked for their selfless contributions.

As a key element of the initiative, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire’s team is excited to collaborate with Carefree in providing complimentary stays at their expansive 500-acre estate to unpaid carers. These individuals, who frequently sacrifice their mental health and well-being to care for their loved ones, will benefit from this gesture of appreciation.

Carefree, founded in the summer of 2016 by brothers Charlie and James Ricketts, originated from their personal experiences and a desire to support unpaid carers. After testing the concept in Cornwall and witnessing its positive impact on carers’ well-being, they relocated the operation to London in early 2017. Following successful participation in an accelerator for charitable ventures in July 2017, the charity secured its first round of funding, and in October 2017, Charlotte Newman joined as CEO. Carefree was officially incorporated a month later, coinciding with the commencement of work on the initial version of the booking platform. Automated pilots in 2018 and 2019 enabled hundreds of carers to enjoy breaks in hotels and holiday cottages, showcasing the transformative potential of Carefree’s innovative model.
