Every year, the city of Milan eagerly anticipates the enchanting holiday decorations at the Four Seasons Hotel Milano. This year, the hotel has prepared a delightful surprise in collaboration with Acqua di Parma, titled “Unwrapping Christmas.”

The 2023 creative theme centers around the essence of the holiday season, much like unwrapping a present layer by layer. Under the creative direction of Vincenzo Dascanio, the hotel has been adorned with all the trappings of gift-wrapping: from ornate boxes to intricate bows, vibrant ribbons, and glistening wrapping paper. These elements, in shades of deep green, rich red, shimmering gold, and occasional touches of Acqua di Parma’s iconic yellow, have transformed Four Seasons Hotel Milano into a sensory celebration.

The visual splendor of the hotel’s decorations is complemented by a festive menu of cocktails and desserts inspired by Acqua di Parma’s signature scents.

Bar Manager Nikos Tachmazis has crafted a special cocktail menu inspired by Acqua di Parma’s seasonal fragrances:

  1. Porta Fortuna Cocktail – White rum infused with burnt cream, Sandalwood, and Patchouli, topped with Soda Water.
  2. Neve Fresca Cocktail – Stilla Gin infused with pine scent, Birch Vanilla, and Patchouli, enhanced with fresh Lime and Soda Water, garnished with a long lime twist.
  3. Bosco Cocktail – Stilla Gin and Martini Bianco with Dry Vermouth.

Pastry Chef Daniele Bonzi has concocted three delectable desserts served in iconic yellow Acqua di Parma vessels, each inspired by the same scents:

  1. Porta Fortuna Dessert – Layers of crumble, Italian Chantilly cream, cinnamon powder, cocoa syrup, and Norhoy vanilla.
  2. Neve Fresca Dessert – Layers of crumble, Italian Chantilly cream, bergamot jelly, edible flowers, and candied kumquat.
  3. Bosco Dessert – Layers of crumble, Italian Chantilly cream, caramelized pine nuts, eucalyptus sauce, and smoked cedar.

The festivities also feature live demonstrations showcasing the craftsmanship of both Acqua di Parma and Four Seasons Milano. Acqua di Parma artisans will decorate hatboxes and engrave fragrance bottles, while the Four Seasons team will demonstrate the preparation of their cocktails and desserts.

Here are the dates for the live demonstrations:

No holiday season at the hotel would be complete without the traditional Panettone created by Daniele Bonzi. This labor of love, requiring over 36 hours of meticulous work and featuring ingredients such as Grand Cru vanilla from Tahiti, acacia honey, Italian candied fruits, and raisins, is presented in an elegantly stylish package, making it the perfect gift.

Furthermore, the hotel’s restaurant, Zelo, under the guidance of Executive Chef Fabrizio Borraccino, is beautifully adorned for the holidays and offers a special menu for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s.
