Four seasons hotel Riyadh

Discover the culinary craftsmanship of pastry at the recently unveiled Pierre Hermé Paris patisserie, located in the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre. Nestled in the hotel’s lobby, this striking retail boutique welcomes guests and visitors into a world where creativity meets architecture, showcasing an array of confections that are true marvels of culinary craftsmanship, designed to captivate both the eyes and the taste buds.

Just like the renowned cafés and café-restaurants under the Pierre Hermé Paris name across the globe, the delicacies here—ranging from pastries to macarons to chocolates—are the brainchild of the famed French pastry chef and chocolatier Pierre Hermé, often hailed as “the Picasso of Pastry.” His creations are a testament to innovation, blending flavors, textures, and visuals in ways that are both original and sometimes unexpected, aiming to delight and surprise.

Indulge in the likes of Infiniment Vanille shortbreads, enriched with mascarpone cream and a mix of vanillas from Tahiti, Mexico, and Madagascar; Plaisir Sucré dacquoise biscuits, adorned with hazelnuts, hazelnut crisps, milk chocolate wafers, alongside milk chocolate ganache and Chantilly; and the aesthetically pleasing Ispahan rose macaroons, filled with rose petal cream, raspberries, and lychees. The boutique doesn’t stop there, offering an extensive selection including cakes, exquisite chocolates, and seasonal specialties, perfect for elevating any celebration.

At the helm of the Pierre Hermé Paris boutique within the hotel is Executive Pastry Chef Steve Thiery, hailing from Nancy, France. Chef Thiery, who became part of Pierre Hermé’s international team in 2019, brings over fifteen years of experience from working in pastry kitchens around the world. Committed to freshness and innovation, Chef Thiery personally oversees the creation of all pastries right in the hotel’s dedicated Pierre Hermé kitchen.

The boutique itself is a visual feast, with its stunning design mirroring the exquisite beauty of its offerings and creating an inviting shopping experience. Its bright, spacious interior offers a peaceful escape, adorned with a mosaic of orange, brown, and cream marble that elegantly covers the walls and floors. The careful selection and arrangement of every tile, along with strategic lighting, enhances the space’s polished elegance and shine.

Notably, the boutique’s architecture draws inspiration from historic landmarks, featuring a circular layout that amplifies its majesty, with tasteful displays that integrate seamlessly into the walls. The desserts are presented behind sleek glass, reminiscent of precious gems in a museum, continuing the boutique’s circular motif.

Pierre Hermé Paris’s pastries are not just treats; they are an invitation to pause and explore the potential of flavor and design. Additionally, the hotel’s Obaya Lounge offers a serene and charming setting for guests to enjoy Pierre Hermé’s exquisite confections, enriching the overall experience with sophistication and relaxation.
