Four Seasons Koh Samui Commemorates Negroni’s Centennial with an Exclusive Negroni Week

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is celebrating the centennial decade of the iconic Negroni cocktail with another exciting Negroni Week this September 2024, says Bar Manager Thom Greets. First crafted in the early 1920s in France and popularized as an American-styled gin cocktail with Italian roots, the timeless Negroni has become a beloved classic for over a century.

From September 16 to 22, bartenders around the world will add their creative twists to the Negroni, showcasing unique interpretations of the iconic cocktail. Thom is eager to unveil his latest Negroni-inspired creations, drawing inspiration from the tropical flavors of Koh Samui. Living on an island makes it easy to find fresh ideas and ingredients to enhance cocktail experiences, he says.

Thom’s exclusive Negroni menu will be available all day at the poolside CoCoRum, where guests can relax in a beachfront setting. As evening falls, KOH Bar will come alive with the tropical flavors of the special menu, complemented by stunning ocean views. The menu features bold interpretations such as the Caliente, with mango-infused tequila, chili tincture, Campari, and Cinzano Rosso vermouth.

In line with Four Seasons’ commitment to sustainability, locally-grown fruits have been infused into the spirits, according to Thom. The Resort has partnered with Slow Food Thailand, an agro-ecology initiative that supports the local community and promotes ethical sourcing. By embracing fair-food systems and sustainable ingredients, Four Seasons demonstrates its dedication to environmental stewardship and local engagement.

The menu also includes standout creations like the Tropical Negroni with coconut-washed gin and From Kingston With Love, made with Jamaican rum and pineapple vinegar, along with the classic Negroni. Thom invites guests to join the celebration at CoCoRum and KOH Bar, where they can enjoy the innovative cocktails while supporting a meaningful cause that goes beyond the glass.
