Four Seasons London, Michelin-starred,

Four Seasons London unique sushi pop-up with Michelin-starred L’Abysse, a two-day culinary spectacle on April 26-27, 2024.

In a captivating culinary crossover, Pavyllon London by Yannick Alléno, a renowned Michelin-starred venue, is set to host a remarkable pop-up event with L’Abysse, the distinguished two-Michelin-starred sushi destination from Paris, at the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane. This extraordinary event is scheduled for a two-day spectacle on April 26 and 27, 2024. The brainchild behind this event, Chef Yannick Alléno, who is also the visionary founder of L’Abysse, is extending an invitation to his prestigious Parisian establishment along with master sushi chef Yasunari Okazaki to present an unparalleled omakase dining experience at his London outpost.

The event promises an exclusive sushi journey, accommodating guests at an eight-seat bar counter situated within Pavyllon London’s elegantly appointed private dining space. Echoing the authentic essence of Japanese sushi counters, attendees will have the privilege to witness the exceptional craftsmanship and dynamic artistry of Chef Okazaki firsthand. This setting aims to provide a unique opportunity to indulge in some of the world’s most exquisite sushi, served omakase style—a Japanese tradition that entrusts the selection to the chef, symbolizing a culinary adventure “left up to you.”

The experience begins with a welcoming aperitif in Pavyllon London’s sophisticated lounge, setting the stage for the subsequent multi-course omakase feast. Highlights from L’Abysse’s signature offerings include the delicately prepared panko-crusted sea urchin paired with grapefruit, the innovative French sake kasu scallop tartare, meticulously crafted nigiri, and the exquisite fire-grilled langoustines adorned with crispy seaweed. Each dish is a reflection of Chef Okazaki’s unwavering commitment to excellence, encapsulating the essence of flavor, quality, and inventive flair.

The collaboration between Chef Yannick Alléno and Chef Yasunari Okazaki is rooted in a deep-seated respect and mutual admiration for the art of sushi making, a bond formed over Alléno’s extensive visits to Japan. Their combined expertise and passion have previously culminated in the successful launch of L’Abysse at Pavillon Ledoyen in 2018, integrating Okazaki’s sushi mastery with Alléno’s innovative approach to sauces and extractions, resulting in an unforgettable umami explosion. This venture has not only solidified the reputation of Pavillon Ledoyen as the world’s most Michelin-star adorned independent restaurant but also earned L’Abysse two Michelin stars by 2020.

The omakase menu for this exclusive event is priced at GBP 390 per person, with reservations open for both lunch and dinner sessions on the event dates. For an enhanced dining experience, guests have the option to complement their meal with a curated sake, wine, and tea pairing for an additional GBP 200 per person.
