Marin Leuthard, a Swiss chef, joins Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh in 2023, bringing global culinary expertise and a passion for gastronomy.

Originating from the picturesque town of Zug in Switzerland, Marin Leuthard steps into his new role at the Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, bringing a rich tapestry of culinary expertise accumulated over his illustrious career. 2023 marks the commencement of Leuthard’s association with Four Seasons, opening a fresh and exciting chapter in his gastronomic journey.

Leuthard’s culinary flame was kindled in his youth, inspired by his grandmother’s innate flair for traditional cooking. He embarked on his professional path at the age of 15, starting at a renowned local eatery. His professional trajectory has taken him across the globe, contributing his skills to a variety of esteemed venues, including opulent hotels and resorts in cities like Hong Kong, Macau, Incheon, and Delhi, among others. His global exposure and varied experiences have profoundly influenced his culinary philosophy and approach to leadership.

As the Executive Chef, Leuthard is at the helm of one of the most expansive food and beverage operations within the Four Seasons worldwide network. He manages 12 distinctive dining and bar venues set against the backdrop of the Red Sea, in addition to overseeing banquet services for nearly 54,000 square feet of event space. “Managing multiple venues at this scale is a new height in my career. We’re embracing the challenges as a team, aiming to infuse our creations with our passion,” Leuthard remarks.

Renowned for his grounded nature, diligence, and enthusiasm for nurturing his team’s abilities, Leuthard stresses the significance of collaboration in achieving excellence. With a culinary team of over 110 chefs, he focuses on providing support and resources for them to craft their own unique dishes.

His responsibilities extend to working closely with the head chef of each restaurant, ensuring menus reflect authentic flavors while staying abreast of current culinary trends. He is committed to enhancing the culinary prowess required for the Resort’s diverse gastronomic offerings, which range from Mediterranean seafood at Bullona and refined street food at Yatai, to classic Lebanese dishes at Zitouni. Leuthard’s dedication to guest satisfaction is apparent in his enjoyment of engaging with patrons, particularly those staying in the Resort’s premier suites. He is passionate about creating distinctive and unforgettable dining experiences that highlight the local culinary traditions, such as offering a traditional Bedouin Breakfast along the beachfront.

Beyond his professional realm, Marin cherishes time with his wife and daughter, who are excitedly looking forward to their new life in Sharm El Sheikh. He is an avid traveler, keen on immersing himself in diverse cultures, and is a passionate road cyclist.
