From the time of joining the Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines fleet in 2020, Borealis has termed Liverpool her home from the time her maiden voyage started back in July 2021, providing over 50 sailings to places worldwide, creating an important effect on the local economy and making powerful community bonds.
As per a recent report offered to the culture and visitor economy committee of the local authority in 2022, Borealis have put in over £2.25million to the local economy, strengthening the connection of the cruise line with Liverpool and the community.
To identify the commitment of Fred. Olsen Cruise Line to Liverpool, its flagship, and Borealis’ sister ship, Bolette, will call Liverpool her home for this year 2024, initiating a new chapter in the relationship with the city for the cruise line.
To rejoice the time of Borealis in Liverpool, here’s two important incidents that she has gone through in the last two and a half:
Three agile security guards in the terminal in August 2022, from Cruise Liverpool, saved the life of a guest after crumpling, executing CPR until the paramedics arrived.
Later on, Karen Burgess, Adam Johnson and Jay Munro were awarded a certificate, a special recognition and celebratory lunch on board Borealis.A Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines guest in March 2023, was named Cruise Liverpool’s One Millionth passenger from the time the terminal opened in 2007.
