Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is initiating a contest for those who dream big. The challenge invites participants to uncover three hidden countries within the virtual skies of its latest television advertisement, showcasing how the cruise line leverages its 175 years of expertise to create extraordinary moments for guests.

The countries are discreetly concealed amidst the clouds, a testament to the creative prowess of its award-winning team. The enticing prize for the competition is a cabin for two on the ‘Idyllic Islands and Captivating Cultures of Asia’ cruise, serving as the initial clue. Additional hints will be unveiled over the next six weeks.

“Our target audience are those who love to cruise on smaller ships, experiencing and seeing the world and all it has to offer and are intelligent, curious and want to keep learning and exploring.

“This is a competition that is right up their street and ties into our adventurous spirit and our guests desire to look up and embrace the amazing world around them.

“What’s more, this is one of our biggest competition prizes to date and we know it’s likely to attract a lot of interest.”

The Asia cruise, embarking on Balmoral from Southampton on January 18, 2025, for an extraordinary 82 nights, provides a unique opportunity to delve into ancient civilizations and explore the enchanting islands scattered throughout the region.

The itinerary includes visits to picturesque islands such as Weh Island in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, Palawan in the Philippines, and Borneo in Malaysia. Notably, Balmoral’s stop in Mumbai aligns with the Holi Festival, a vibrant Hindu celebration transforming India into a living canvas.

The cloud spotter competition was conceived in the wake of the success of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ advertisement, highlighting the brand’s 175 years of seafaring expertise and global exploration. The competition underscores four distinctive elements that define its offerings: smaller ship experiences, meticulously crafted itineraries, a focus on the joy of the journey, and the integral role of its people.

Running for six weeks, the competition kicks off on January 9 and concludes on February 27 at 5 pm. To participate, individuals can visit the competition page on the website, watch the Blue Sky Thinking version of the advertisement, and engage in cloud spotting by identifying the three countries and their appearance timeframe in the advert.
