Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is set to make a comeback to Dover, offering summer cruises to various captivating destinations, including Norway, Iceland, Portugal, and the Azores.

The vessel, Borealis, will embark on five cruises from Dover during the months of June, July, and August. These cruises will provide guests with the opportunity to marvel at the breathtaking Norwegian Fjords, partake in sailing events in the Baltic, and observe marine life from the ship’s decks.

The inaugural voyage is the 14-night ‘Maritime Cities and Sailing Events of the Baltic’ cruise, commencing on June 27th. The itinerary has been carefully curated to coincide with events like the Tall Ships Race in Helsinki, Kieler Woche in Kiel, exploring World War II history in Gdansk, and spending time in Visby and Tallinn.

Clare Ward, Director of Product and Customer Service at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:

“We have offered cruises from Dover for several years, and we are thrilled to be able to return again this summer.

“These itineraries have been hand-crafted to maximise the experience of our guests on board by taking them to the very best places at the very best times.

“Throughout the summer months, guests will be able to see puffins before they migrate from Iceland, the awe-inspiring Strokkur Geyser and Goðafoss Waterfall, admire the beautiful blue hydrangeas synonymous with the Azores and take the funicular railway to the top of Mount Fløyen for a hike in Norway.

“There truly is a cruise to suit every guest.”

Sonia Limbrick, Head of Business Development for Cruise at the Port of Dover, said:

“We are delighted to be welcoming Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines back again for more calls in 2024.

“We have shared many adventures and celebrations over nearly three decades and look forward to the newest member of the fleet, Borealis, joining us this year for what I am sure will be another great chapter together.”
