Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines leads the way as the inaugural cruise company to embark from Newcastle this season, presenting an array of voyages for the spring and summer periods.

Today marks the maiden voyage of the season for the more intimate vessel Balmoral, embarking from the Port of Tyne. Guests will embark on a captivating nine-night journey titled ‘In Search of the Northern Lights’.

The season’s itinerary features a diverse range of destinations, including Scandinavia, the Canary Islands, Portugal, Iceland, and various Mediterranean islands.

This voyage offers an immersive experience into Iceland’s stunning geological and geothermal marvels, alongside exploration of Icelandic folklore during scenic cruises around the Westfjords, and opportunities to spot marine wildlife on the journey towards Iceland.
