Delta, cinema,

Discover how to watch Delta‘s diverse films in-flight, on land, or online, and Delta’s commitment to celebrating diversity through cinema.

From the buzz of film festivals to the glamour of the Oscars®, the recent award season was unforgettable. Delta passengers have the privilege of accessing a premier collection of acclaimed films with just their Delta boarding pass.

Boasting over 162,000 seatback screens throughout its international fleet, Delta leads among U.S.-based airlines in this regard. A dedicated team of specialists at Delta meticulously selects the finest films each month, working in close collaboration with leading movie studios and esteemed partners.

Whether you’re a cinema enthusiast eager to explore award-winning titles or in search of your next beloved movie, discover the exceptional films Delta brings from the big screen directly to your seatback display.

For SkyMiles members flying on planes equipped with the new Delta Sync seatback experience, the Fly Delta app offers a unique feature. Users can log into their seatback display and bookmark their preferred Oscar®-nominated movies in “My Favorites.” These choices will be saved for them in the “My List” section, ready for their next viewing during subsequent flights. The Delta Sync seatback experience is presently available on over 185 aircraft, with plans to expand to more planes by the summer’s end.

CELEBRATING WOMEN’S ACHIEVEMENTS DURING OSCARS® SEASON AND WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH
Delta Airlines is marking Women’s History Month by introducing an onboard feature collection called “Breaking the Oscars® Ceiling.” This special assortment, carefully assembled by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in collaboration with Delta, the Academy’s official airline, shines a spotlight on the pioneering contributions of female filmmakers and artists who have etched their names in Oscars® lore.

The festivities extend with another unique collection acknowledging Women’s History Month, brought together by SHE, Delta’s Business Resource Group that champions women’s empowerment in the corporate sphere, in partnership with Women in Film (WIF). WIF is a charitable organization committed to promoting and supporting the professional growth of women in the entertainment industry, covering all roles, both onscreen and behind the scenes.

For SkyMiles members, there’s the added perk of enjoying Emmy Award®-winning series among other content on Paramount+—complete with a generous offer of up to 24 hours of free, uninterrupted access.
Throughout the award season and even afterwards, SkyMiles members can sign into Delta Sync Wi-Fi on most domestic flights to enjoy complimentary premium content on Paramount+, Delta’s exclusive in-flight entertainment partner. Embark on a journey of exploration with the finest films, TV shows, and exclusive originals on board, and extend your viewing pleasure with up to 24 hours of continued access to Paramount+ after your flight.*

The accolade was received by Ekrem Dimbiloglu and Catherine McDaniel from Delta’s In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity Team during the 7th Annual AAFCA Special Achievement Awards luncheon on March 3, an event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of Black filmmakers.
