The tourism ministry of Israel is currently working on various measures to allow individual vaccinated tourists to visit the country from November 2021.

Only organized groups between five and 30 tourists from “green, yellow and orange” countries are currently permitted to visit Israel.

In September 2021, the Israel Government Tourist Office (IGTO) explained that roughly 34,500 tourist entries were recorded, compared to just 15,100 in September 2020 and 405,000 in September 2019.

The statistics for September represents an annual rise of 128% but it is 91.5% down on September 2019.

The IGTO mentioned that the easing of entry rules for tourists was “in order to rehabilitate the tourism industry and to ensure that the hundreds of thousands of people working in the industry can earn a living”.

Its latest campaign, Two Cities, One Break, gives confidence to the travelers to visit Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
