To tourism for the Hudson Valley, George Latimer, Westchester County Executive, has revived his call to go for a regional approach. Latimer said that it is key to comprehend that when people visit this area, perhaps after exploring New York City, they are not coming to a particular county but to the Hudson Valley in general.
Latimer said that people who are not going to Westchester or Putnam, they’re coming to explore a combination; Legoland, West Point, Lindhurst, the FDR Museum, and the Walkway Over the Hudson. They’re exploring the region.
Describing the Hudson Valley as a beautiful part of the country, the Westchester leader is expecting that other country officials in the region will help the world to know about it.
They are trying to network as best as they can to bring people to this region. Latimer also stated of working with the other executives of Hudson Valley County. He observed that the marvelous physical loveliness of the Hudson Valley and well-set up transportation routes should be marketed to potential tourists.
Tourism accounts for $622 million in visitor spending in Dutchess County alone, with 9,000 jobs related to tourism, and over $87 million in tax revenue.
