The beginning of monsoon in Goa has encouraged experts to shut the beaches for any type of activity;
however, tourists are still visiting the waterfronts, although in reduced numbers.
Shacks in beach were pulled to pieces during the final week of May, while activities in water sports were also shut down by the Goa Tourism Department.
Barely 20 per cent of travelers reach Goa throughout the rainy season. There is also no activity. Cautions are also delivered against bathing in the sea because of high surfs, said Abdul Shaikh, a Colva Beach tourist taxi operator. He said that the tourist period has nearly shut down with no trade for cab workers.
At Colva Beach, travelers can be seen relishing the rain, while the private lifesaver agency involved by the
Goa government made use of its capability to the fullest to make sure that there are no unfortunate
occurrences.
Many tourists feel that monsoon is the best time to visit Goa. There is no contamination with zero noise.
The beaches are vacant and one can sit there quietly for as long as they want.
