Greece kick-starts a new time for its tourism strategy

Greece kick-starts a new time in terms of its tourism strategy, promising a sustainable future that gives importance to nature protection, respect in terms of local communities, and humancentric considerations.

This tactical change is set to reposition Greece as an eminent protagonist in regard to world ranking of tourist attractions and experiences. In a revolutionary effort, the European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Association together with the Greek National Tourism Organisation will together organize the second roundtable on “Greening The Greek Experience”. It would take place on 14th December.

Greece’s tourism agency, industry leaders from airlines, tour operators, and various stakeholders were attracted to the first edition event in a cooperative effort to discover strategies and insights for developing sustainable tourism.

The event was themed – “A Collaborative Approach to Sustainable Tourism,” it featured illustrious speakers like the Head of Sustainability and Industry Affairs at Athens International Airport, Anna Vasila, who explained on campaigns to make sure sustainability remains central to the tourism experience. The Executive Director of The Rhodes Co-Lab and Head of Sustainable Business Transformation at TUI Group, Melvin Mak, a company which is making extraordinary milestones when it comes to sustainable travel experience in the mediterranean sea.
