Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, the erstwhile J&K Chief Minister and Chairman of the Democratic Azad Party, on Sunday said that the tourism map should be long-drawn-out with the advertisement of ten to 12 places in each district with an intent to grow tourism arrivals in every district of J&K.
In Srinagar, while addressing the party workers on the first Raising Day of his party, he made the above remarks.
The Tulip Garden demonstrated as an important step in tourism. He added that few people coming to Chashma Shahi won’t be any assistance to Gurez, Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora locals. He mentioned that in 2008, he had created a Tourism Map for all districts in J&K. At least 10 to 12 places in every district should be marketed as tourism destination, he said with an intention that tourists take time to visit every district of the state in a nice way.
He added that factories cannot be developed everywhere, and elections are not happening in spite of waiting long. He said that while waiting for elections, some people have already lost lives. A corrupt economy is their main problem, and it’s not only their problem but of the entire Europe, he said.
