In order to improve tourism, the Gujarat government is scheduling to unveil the highest space observatory in India! The state already has few astounding, global-level attractions along with the Statue of Gujarat, which is the tallest statue in the world. This space observatory was suggested by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government started working on the project thereafter.

Reports say that the 140-m space observatory will be built in Dharoi Dam, which is close to Narendra Modi’s hometown, Vadnagar. A sum of around INR 1041 crores will be spent on this project and would be built on a huge area of 1500 acres. The probable time to build this huge project is three years.

Along with tourism promotion in Gujarat, the government is hopeful that the observatory will also play a vital role in the improvement of the neighboring regions. An increase in the number of tourists too is being expected.

Among the main features of the space observatory, there would be a telescope gallery by means of which one can view different planets. There will also be an astronomical observatory and viewing points. People can even walk up to an open-to-sky viewing deck for unforgettable views of the sky.

A cafe and a hotel would also be a part of the project, along with an amphitheater which can house around 2500 people.
