Gujarat soon to create separate tourism department

As the state government of Gujarat is initiation several measures to develop the tourism of the state, it’s quite possible that in the coming days, it might develop an independent department just for it. At present, in Gujarat, tourism is part of the Industries & Mines Department.

A senior official of the government recently explained that before the annual budget this year, the state government was all prepared to isolate tourism from the I&M department, but it couldn’t do so for some internal reasons. Now, the declaration might come in some time that it will give a push to the development of tourism in the state, the officer said.

A Modest Input
While recalling the university days and his close tie with the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, Mr. Sunil Shukla, the Director Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India said that he had a small part to play as well in his triumph. At the end of the address on Amrit Kaal Ka Bharat by the Governor, the EDII DG explained that both of them belong from the same city and institution, the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University of Uttar Pradesh. He added that when he was there, the Governor was fighting from the ABVP panel.
