The Morro-Cabana Historic Military Park located in Havana, the largest city of Cuba, arranged on Monday the launch party of the 41st International Tourism Fair.
Around 573 tour operators, from Monday till Friday, coming from different countries of the world are set to take part in the event.
Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, during the event, announced that tourism plays an important in developing the financial restoration of the island.
He said that taking part in the development of the tourism sector of Cuba is to contribute to the upgradation of living conditions of their locals, highlighting that the island country can conquer disputes no matter how serious they might be.
Juan Carlos Garcia Granda, Cuba’s Minister of Tourism, showed his hope that the event would establish itself to be an important and educational experience, giving scope for the detection of original business ideas.
The tourist industry of Cuba in 2022 experienced a major rush of roughly 1.7 million visitors. This stat falls short of the initial government prediction of 2.5 million foreign tourists.
The Cuban government expects 3.5 million visitors to its shores, as per official sources all through the year. Before the pandemic hit the world, the island nation used to have roughly four million tourists every year.
