People are planning quick getaways to the hilly terrains to take a break from the soaring temperatures.

Himachal Pradesh is seeing a rush of tourists after the state government decided to ease requirements of a negative RT-PCR report.

The Parwanoo border witnessed hordes of vehicles lined up. The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has decided to increase timings of open shops from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from June 14, except on weekends when the shops would remain closed. Himachal will withdraw mandatory RT-PCR report for entering the state. However, the curfew in the state will remain on place daily from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tourism is a major contributor to Himachal’s economy.
