Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures returns with full schedule this February

Lake Mead Mohave Adventures (LMMA) is thrilled to announce the comeback of its acclaimed Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures, resuming its full schedule on Wednesday, February 28. Marking its 41st anniversary, the attraction invites guests to experience the Hoover Dam Raft Tour and Hoover Dam Postcard Tour from Wednesday to Sunday starting from this date.

During the initial weekend of operations, from February 28 to March 3, participants of the Hoover Dam Raft Tours will be greeted with Chef Lynn’s renowned gourmet cinnamon rolls at the time of check-in. Moreover, LMMA will offer a chance to win exciting prizes during check-in for both excursions.

These tours offer unforgettable journeys along the Black Canyon National Water Trail, providing intimate photo sessions at the foot of the iconic Hoover Dam, directly beneath the Mike O’Callaghan Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, the broadest single-arch concrete bridge in the Western Hemisphere. Travelers will navigate the Colorado River in motor-assisted, inflatable rafts, exploring the breathtaking Black Canyon, while expert guides enlighten them about the area’s unique geology and wildlife, such as the desert bighorn sheep, osprey, and great blue heron.

The 2024 rafting season includes:

• Hoover Dam Raft Tour: This full-day adventure allows guests to enjoy serene stops along the Colorado River’s banks beneath the Hoover Dam. The day starts with check-in at Lake Mead RV Village at 9:30 a.m., followed by a three-hour rafting trip packed with excitement. Along the way, participants are treated to a lunch that includes a turkey wrap, chips, fruit, a cookie, and water, with special dietary requests accommodated upon prior notice. The adventure concludes at Willow Beach Marina & Campground, where guests are transported back over the Mike O’Callaghan Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge to the starting point in air-conditioned comfort. Pricing begins at $110 for children aged 5 to 15 and $125 for those aged 16 and up, not including the $15 National Park entrance fee, which is waived for holders of National Park passes. Additionally, round-trip transportation from Las Vegas hotels is available for $69 per person.
• Hoover Dam Postcard Raft Tour: Tailored for those with tighter schedules, this tour offers a brief, yet comprehensive glimpse of the Hoover Dam and Colorado River. Starting the journey from Hoover Dam Lodge in Boulder City, Nevada, at 10:30 a.m., guests embark on a 1.5-hour excursion. This tour provides intimate views of the Hoover Dam and the Mike O’Callaghan Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, concluding with a bus ride back to the lodge. Children under 4 join free, with prices starting at $49 for children aged 5 to 15 and $69 for individuals 16 and older, inclusive of snacks and drinks. This season, guests of the Postcard Tour can also opt for round-trip hotel transportation from select locations in Las Vegas for $55 per person.

Additionally, LMMA offers private and customizable charters ideal for exhibitions, conferences, and conventions, catering to both small and large groups. Starting at $1,725, these exclusive tours allow for a personalized departure time, a private raft, a dedicated guide, and a choice of refreshments or a catered lunch at Willow Beach Marina & Campground.
