With more than a decade of leadership experience in the hospitality industry, Teresa Chen is no stranger to the luxury and lifestyle hotel sector. She has held senior leadership roles at several Hyatt properties across Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. Notably, Chen served as the general manager at Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa, JdV by Hyatt and was a key figure in the 2019 opening of the Grand Hyatt at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Additionally, she has experience leading Hotel De Anza, a Destination Hotel by Hyatt and worked with Appellation previously as a project manager during the opening of Appellation Healdsburg, which launched in September 2025.
Chen’s extensive experience in luxury hospitality positions her well to lead Hotel MOHI by Appellation through its pre-opening phase and beyond. As general manager, she will be responsible for ensuring the resort’s financial and budgetary success, recruiting and developing a strong team and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
