Hotel Okura Co., Ltd. is excited to declare the formalization of an agreement for the operation and management of Hotel Okura Suzhou in Suzhou, China, starting in 2027. The agreement, inked on December 20, involves Suzhou Ronghe Real Estate Co., Ltd., a company under the ownership of Suzhou Harmony Development Group Co., Ltd., Marimo Holdings, Inc., and Sumitomo Corporation.
Suzhou, situated in southeastern Jiangsu Province, has emerged as a key economic hub due to its close proximity to Shanghai. Renowned for its charming “old-town” center and often dubbed the “Venice of the East,” Suzhou is a magnet for tourists, offering historical landmarks and a network of canals surrounded by classic Chinese landscapes. Additionally, it has gained prominence as one of China’s leading industrial cities.
Hotel Okura Suzhou will be strategically located in Suzhou Industrial Park, established in 1994 as one of the region’s principal specialized industrial zones and recognized as a top-tier national-level economic zone in China. Functioning as a smart zone, it prioritizes sustainability and serves as a hub for global companies engaged in production and exports.
As the inaugural Hotel Okura-branded establishment in Jiangsu Province, Hotel Okura Suzhou is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences rooted in Japan’s time-honored hospitality culture.
The hotel will occupy the upper levels of a multifaceted complex that houses offices, residences, and commercial spaces. It will boast 249 rooms, including 25 suites, with standard rooms spanning 42 square meters. A diverse range of cuisines, including Japanese and Chinese, will be served across four food and beverage outlets. Amenities at the hotel will comprise an executive lounge, fitness center, indoor swimming pool, and more.
Additionally, the facility will feature a primary banquet hall and six meeting rooms for VIP occasions, offering premium spaces complemented by a variety of services suited to different needs.
Conveniently linked to the Xingtang Street Station of Suzhou Rail Transit (lines 1 and 5), the hotel will ensure easy accessibility for guests.
Moreover, the building will offer guest rooms designed for extended stays.
In Jiangsu Province, alongside Hotel Okura Suzhou, Okura Nikko Hotels also operates Hotel Nikko Wuxi (opened in 2010), Hotel Nikko Suzhou (2015), Hotel Nikko Taizhou (2016), and Hotel Nikko Changshu (2023).
