For all hoteliers based in the US state of Illinois, business is booming! The Gov. of Illinois, JB Pritzker, on Monday, said that the legislative leadership and representatives of the state in terms of the hospitality sector has recently declared that all hotels in the state in fiscal year 2023, witnessed record revenues which ended June 30.

Hotels all across Illinois generated $307.8 million, as per the figures from the Department of Revenue, Illinois. That impacts 2019 followed by the earlier year in terms of income from hotels and the last year prior to the pandemic turned over the hospitality sector.

In 2023, revenue went up 35.8 percent from the year before and 230.1 percent from the 2021 fiscal year, when covid was still considerably impacting the travel habits of the people.

For hotel and hospitality along with workers related to recreation, tourism means more jobs, precisely, well paying ones with health insurance. At a Monday news conference arranged in Chicago, Pritzker said the same. More tourism signifies tons of new visitors discovering all the remarkable things that their state and city have to provide.

Important events have bolstered the tourism industry of Illinois this year, as per Kristin Richards, state’s head of the department of commerce.
