HP government urges tourists to visit their state

In an effort to resuscitate tourism, which has got massively impacted in a negative way in the state because of devastating landslides and floods in the recent past, on Tuesday, Rural Development Minister, Mr. Anirudh Singh, requested the tourists to visit the state of Himachal Pradesh and encourage tourism with full support.


While speaking to the press, Anirudh Singh on Sunday said that due to the severe flood and massive downpour conditions, the state of HP has experienced massive loss of around 10,000 crore rupees. The heavy rainfall has caused immense destruction of property and to the National Highway Authority of India which is worth more than 20,000 crore, he asserted.


In terms of the government property, there has been a huge loss of 10000 crore rupees due to the incessant rain and flood conditions in the state. Around 2200 crore losses have been recorded as per set norms of the Union government. On the roads of NHAI, there has been a loss of 20,000 crore rupees. Till now, almost 10500 houses have got affected and over 6500 houses have been completely damaged. The state government is measuring the local and private losses together. In the state, the landslides are continuing and the loss will grow in the coming days, said Anirudh Singh.
