IATO pledges to extend tourism period

The Indian Association of Tour Operators’ annual convention will be organized on Friday in Maharashtra. During this time, there will be a lengthy talk on the inbound tourism and fast developing sustainable trends, the organizers said.


There will be a talk on inbound tourism on the second day of the event, along with a combined effect between hotels and tour operators, on Wednesday, Rajiv Mehra, IATO Chairman, said the same at a press conference here. There will be a meeting on exploring Maharashtra, on the third day followed by new dimensions and opportunities, he added.

Sandipan Bhumre, District guardian minister, who at the press conference was present, showed the requirement for improved connectivity of air in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar with various cities to grow tourist footfall here. Ambadas Danve, leader of opposition in the state legislative council said that they have adopted new initiative to bring this event to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar which is a two-tier city. This will help in increasing the economy of their city as tour operators will get a first-hand experience of the beauty of monuments here.
