IHCL marks 200th milestone with GORBANDH PALACE launch in Jaisalmer

Today, the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), the largest hospitality company in India, unveiled the inauguration of Gorbandh Palace, an IHCL SeleQtions hotel situated in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Nestled in the heart of the Thar Desert, the hotel seamlessly combines modern comforts with the rich legacy of old-world Rajasthani charm.

Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, expressed his delight, stating, “The opening of Gorbandh Palace in Jaisalmer is a significant milestone as it marks IHCL’s 200th operational hotel. This also completes the key tourist circuit of Jaipur-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer. We are honored to extend our partnership with Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, marking the third hotel in our collaboration spanning over 50 years.”

The expansive Gorbandh Palace, Jaisalmer – IHCL SeleQtions, offers 83 luxurious keys and is a royal retreat surrounded by lush gardens in the heart of Jaisalmer. Named after the traditional ornamental camel necklace symbolizing Rajasthani tribes, the hotel’s design pays homage to Jaisalmer’s rich history. Guests can savor multi-cuisine delights at the all-day diner Bazaar, enjoy Italian cuisine at Seray, and indulge in handcrafted cocktails at the bar Musafir Khana. Boasting over 80,000 sq. ft of outdoor lawns and an ornate banquet hall exceeding 3,000 sq. ft, the hotel is an ideal venue for glamorous events and corporate retreats. The Spa provides comprehensive rejuvenation deeply embedded in the ancient healing wisdom of India.
