In 2023, world tourism is predicted to hit $9.5 trillion. This info is just 5% below the level of 2019 when travel was at its highest peak, as per a study.

The 2023 Economic Impact Research of WTTC highlights that tourism is closing in on its peak times of 2019, recuperating by over 95 per cent.

In 2023, the global tourism committee is predicting that tourism is expected to grow its GDP contribution to $15.5 trillion. This would represent 11.6% of the world financial system.

Also, it will use 430 million people worldwide, with around 12% of the working population associated with the sector, dierectly and indirectly.

Also, the recent EIR discloses the fact that 34 of the 185 countries examined in the EIR have now revived to the levels of pre-pandemic times in terms of the contribution of GDP.

WTTC predicts that by the end of this year, almost half of the 185 countries will have either revived completely to the levels of pre-pandemic times or be within 95% recovery.

In spite of the financial and geopolitical difficulties in 2022, the revival of tourism sector continued at a speed, growing 22% annually to reach $7.7 trillion.

In 2022, this revival represented 7.6% of the world economy, the highest sector contribution since 2019.
