Europe

As the world slowly gets back to normalcy as it was before the COVID-19 hit several industries badly, the travel industry is one of the main industries that are witnessing a major boom once again.

Europe is one such destination that is noticing the benefits of travel once again. Of late, the continent has witnessed an increase in tourism numbers almost the same that existed before travel restrictions were inflicted. Travel expert and author Sarah Dandashy said that summer travel in Europe is gradually getting back to normal, and for the first time, they’re returning to the levels of pre-pandemic times.

According to a research conducted by Squaremouth, usually Europe during the summer made half of all trips booked. This summer, the number is hoped to go up by one percent and is forecasted to be at 52 percent in the following years. It shouldn’t be a shock as many predictions said that once the countries in Europe reopens to American travellers, the numbers would rise automatically. Europe will witness a 600 percent rise from American travellers.

Dandashy said that in tourism, countries that experienced a huge slump are now witnessing a unexpected increase.

Dandashy said that an interesting thing is witnessing countries that are really retrieving their popularity. We’ve got Italy, the U.K., Greece, France, Germany, all placed high in list.

In spite of the hopeful future the tourism industry of Europe, visitors will have to make more expenses this time.
