Skytrax has ranked Indonesia AirAsia as the world’s premier low-cost airline. However, the airline has decided to delay its previously scheduled relocation of all domestic flights to Terminal 2 at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport, originally set for December 6, 2023. Presently, all domestic flights will continue to operate from Terminal 1A.

Captain Wuri Septiawan, Director of Flight Operations at Indonesia AirAsia in Jakarta, stated on December 2, “We are rescheduling the relocation to ensure preparedness and convenience in delivering the optimal travel experience for all Indonesia AirAsia passengers on domestic routes.”

Captain Wuri further explained that the deferment of the relocation is also a strategic move to uphold the high service standards of Indonesia AirAsia and maintain the trust of loyal passengers who frequently travel domestically via Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Indonesia AirAsia is advising all potential passengers to regularly check their email and SMS for notifications regarding flight schedules. Additionally, passengers are encouraged to use the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly AirAsia Superapp) or visit the airasia.com website to check-in and reprint their boarding passes.
