InnVest Hotels, Canada’s leading hospitality company, is excited to announce the successful acquisition of 10 hotels in Ontario and Halifax, effective January 18, 2024. This high-quality portfolio consists of a diverse range of hotels, including focus service, extended-stay, and full-service establishments, boasting a total of 1,737 guestrooms and 40,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. Notable additions to the InnVest Hotels family include Marriott Toronto Airport, Courtyard Toronto Airport, Residence Inn Toronto Airport, Hotel Carlingview, Courtyard Vaughan, Courtyard Markham, Residence Inn Markham, Townplace Suites Sudbury, Cambridge Suites Halifax, and The Prince George Halifax.

This strategic move expands our existing Greater Toronto Area hotel portfolio and signifies our re-entry into the Halifax market. Over the next few years, several of these acquired hotels will undergo comprehensive renovations to enhance the overall guest experience.

Lydia Chen, President and CEO of InnVest, expressed her excitement about this significant acquisition, the company’s largest since 2007. She emphasized the confidence in InnVest’s vertically integrated hospitality organization and the robust Canadian hotel market. Chen warmly welcomed the 766 new team members who have now become part of the InnVest family.

With the exception of the Marriott Toronto Airport, which will continue to be managed by Marriott Hotels, the entire hotel portfolio will be under the management of iHotels. This acquisition substantially expands InnVest’s Marriott branded franchise and managed portfolio to include 14 hotels, solidifying its position as one of the largest owners of the Marriott brand in Canada.
