Integrated tourist visa between Oman and Saudi Arabia

The initiation of an integrated tourist visa between Oman and Saudi Arabia is among the numerous
enterprises decided at a top level meeting organized between representatives of these two countries. 

The search of a combined tourism calendar and enablement of periodic tours between Oman and Saudi Arabia were also deliberated when Ahmed Al-Khateeb, the Saudi Minister of Tourism came across Salim Al- Mahrouqi, his Omani counterpart.

The two ministers talked regarding improving trade and funding collaboration in tourism-related ventures, along with backing entrepreneurs taking part in the sector.  

Also, both sides made a contract to execute combined tourism programs aiming on adventure and camping tourism.   

Al-Khateeb said that at the request of his brother, His Excellency Salem Al-Mahrouqi, the minister of Heritage and Tourism in Oman, he visited the Sultanate of Oman, and deliberated on the features of mutual collaboration.  

Al-Khateeb said that they also visited the National Museum, and launched a scheme of cooperative
tourism enterprises and programs between the two friendly countries during their visit.  

Among these enterprises is training and growing human resources in the tourism segment under the
aegis of the Gulf tourism strategy, which was deliberated by the frontrunners of the Gulf Cooperation
Council nations preceding November.    

There were also contracts about advertising, publicizing, tourism initiation, guidelines, air links and
periodic flights.
