ITA Airways, Italy’s flagship airline, is participating in the ITB Berlin for the second consecutive year, the world’s premier tourism trade fair, from March 5th to 7th. The airline will showcase its offerings at booth No. 107 in Hall 1.2, within the ENIT (Italian National Tourist Board) section, where it will engage with visitors, tour operators, travel agencies, and tourism companies. ITA Airways aims to highlight its extensive network and new services to industry stakeholders and the German market.

A dedicated section within the ITA Airways booth will focus on the Volare loyalty program, offering information, subscription options, and a custom photo booth for souvenir pictures. Launched two years ago, Volare has already attracted 1.8 million members and over 20 business partners from various sectors, including hospitality, mobility, and finance, alongside 8 airline partners for accrual. The latter half of 2023 marked the introduction of co-branded American Express cards and an exclusive Executive Reserved section for top-tier members.

Germany plays a crucial role in ITA Airways’ strategy, with plans to offer up to 76 weekly flights connecting key German cities to Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Linate airports during the upcoming summer season. These flights will facilitate access to ITA Airways’ global network, including destinations in Italy, South America, and popular Mediterranean spots like Greece, Spain, Croatia, and the Italian islands.

ITA Airways will unveil its full summer lineup at the ITB Berlin, featuring a total of 57 destinations, including 16 domestic, 26 international, and 15 intercontinental routes. The airline is focused on expanding its network, especially in long-haul markets, supported by the addition of 28 new aircraft this year.

This summer, ITA Airways will launch nonstop flights from Rome Fiumicino to North America, Africa, and the Middle East, including new routes to Chicago, Toronto, Riyadh, Accra, Kuwait City, Dakar, and Jeddah. These destinations will see increased flight frequencies throughout the season, with the A321neo aircraft enhancing the experience on select routes. This aircraft is celebrated for its efficiency, reduced fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions, and is the first narrow-body jet to offer three cabin classes, designed by Walter de Silva to reflect Italian elegance and style.

ITA Airways, operational since October 15, 2021, aims to be a Made in Italy ambassador through tailored services and partnerships with iconic Italian brands. The airline prioritizes sustainability by renewing its fleet with advanced, efficient aircraft, now totaling 83 Airbus planes, including 40 of the latest generation.

In its second year, ITA Airways transported 15 million passengers, a nearly 50% increase from 2022, with a notable performance in the intercontinental sector. Looking ahead to 2024, the airline anticipates further growth, especially in long-haul operations, with all flights available for booking via its official website, customer service centers, travel agencies, and airport counters.
